Instead of a dead end on the answering machine, callers hear who is on duty or who to reach in an emergency. On mobile, those details can be sent by text so nobody has to write anything down.
Urgent calls, straight through
A genuinely urgent call can be put through to the person on duty. By default it offers a callback instead.
